Scholarship
In order to be considered for an award, a candidate must be currently enrolled in a state-approved Health Science program, a high school senior, and the instructor must be a current MiHSE member.

MIHSE Scholarship:
The MIHSE recognizes the importance of continuing education for our students to further their careers as health science professionals. In order to support this the MIHSE will provide a total of 4 scholarships annually. The scholarships will be as follows: two $2000 awards and two $1000 awards. These awards will be paid directly to the recipient for use for any educational expenses for either a college or certificate program. The application will be submitted by March 1, 2025 and the award must be claimed by Oct. 1, 2025. Recipients will need to submit proof of enrollment in order to receive payment. First and second place applicants will receive $2000, third and fourth place will receive $1000.
MIHSE Application:
The scholarship application includes demographic information, recommendation from current health science teacher (must be MIHSE member) and a non-family reference. A 5 paragraph essay detailing how the funds will help the recipient in their future and how health science education has influenced their career path is also required.

The student MUST redeem the scholarship no later than December 31, 2025 (for those awarded a scholarship in 2025).

We encourage our members to join our scholarship committee. The committee is chaired by our Treasurer, and is currently working on funding sources and award amounts.
